In alignment with the Oman Vision 2040, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher Education Research & Innovation have collaborated to offer the Strategic Research Programme for Health.  It is directed  to address identified research challenges of national priority.

The programme aims to build national capacities and support policies and legislations on a strategic level, especially those with potential adaptation of the outcomes. The 2023 call has two themes, namely 1) Cardiovascular diseases and 2) Leadership & Health governance.
