Global WHO Evidence-to-Policy (E2P) Summit, 2021

In line with the programme of work regarding evidence-informed policy-making, the WHO Global E2P Summit which will take place 15-17 November 2021. The Summit will provide a platform to reflect on the COVID-19 pandemic, which marks a turning point for evidence-informed health policy- and decision-making. The Summit will see the participation of global experts and stakeholders across all Regions of the WHO and will capitalize on lessons learned during the pandemic and explore pathways to strengthening crisis-resilient country capacities towards more equitable, resilient, and sustainable global health.  

  • —-The Global Summit in Arabic and English as well as the Agendas for the Summit and for the Eastern Mediterranean Regional Event. Please also note that the agenda for the Summit shows times based on Geneva  (GMT+1), whereas the Regional event agenda is based on Cairo Time (GMT+2).

  • —-During this Global Summit, the WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office will hold a Regional Event on “COVID-19 and Institutionalizing Use of Evidence for Policy-Making for Health” on the 16th of November from 11:00-14:00 (Cairo Time). The Regional Event, will be inaugurated by Dr. Ahmed Al-Mandhari, Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterrean Region. It includes key note speeches and national and regional case studies showcasing the use of evidence during the COVID-19 response.
