During the meeting of the The Research Council Board steered by His Highness Sayyid Shihab Bin Tareq Al Said, Adviser to His Majesty the Sultan, and Chairman of The Research Council (TRC), the Board approved the strategic research grant programme on Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD) led by Ministry of Health on Thursday 7 March, 2019.
Taking into account the high burden of non-communicable diseases, this strategic research programme was developed by the Ministry of Health (MoH) in collaboration with The Research Council of Oman (TRC). The general aim of this strategic programme is to emphasise on the importance of focusing on NCDs’ prevention, early detection, and control as priority areas for research.
